Majestic Wedding Photography at Peckforton Castle
Dating back to 1840, Peckforton Castle is a Grade I listed site in the heart of Cheshire’s rolling countryside. It stands as a picturesque and ever-proud venue for glamorous, luxury wedding photography. After serving as shelter for children in WW2, the castle went on to become an ideal filming location. Peckforton Castle housed characters like Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood and Doctor Who! Noted in 1952 as a site of exceptional interest and importance, this is a fairytale location. It offers a playground for dynamic, creative wedding photographers like ours, the perfect backdrop for an inspired, cinematic wedding!
The Big Day
On the morning of their wedding, our sweet soulmates prepared within Peckforton Castle’s historic grounds. At the couple’s request, we captured photos with a dramatic yet elegantly moody style, utilising the castle’s natural pockets of light. The moments captured are full of emotion and love, as the couple get ready with their family members.
After capturing an emotional first look between our beautiful bride and groom, our team had the joy of capturing a reverent tea ceremony and heartfelt photo session with their immediate family.
Next, it was time to prepare for the moment we’d all been waiting for. With divine snow white floristry, the ceremony was a dream come true, and with their dearest loved ones eagerly waiting to shower them in confetti, our lovely couple tied the knot.
After an explosive exit through a shower of confetti, our photographers captured an array of our signature group shots on the lawn of the grounds. While guests celebrated within the luxury of the castle, we whisked the two away for an intimate shoot around the site, highlighting the ancient architecture of the historic venue in divine portraits of the duo.
Photographing Peckforton’s Drawing Room
In the opulent Drawing Room, lavish chandeliers, velvet drapes, and exquisite tapestries set the scene. Flooded with light, it’s perfect for wedding ceremonies or breakfasts, exuding warmth and charm. With a capacity of 160 guests, it promises an unforgettable dining experience amidst historic elegance.

After an elegant wedding breakfast, we snuck the couple away once more for a romantic sunset shoot, where our darling duo gave our photographers a endless display of class, romance and tenderness, and paired with divine golden hour lighting and luxury regal backdrop, these shots are worthy of a place on the mantle.
Ending a Divine Fairytale Day
The time had come to party, and in the timeless ballroom, our glamorous pair took to centre stage for their first dance, before an epic cake cut with an unconventional, but very fitting, sword (a great moment for our photographers to catch!) The party started as guests hit the dance floor, and the love of the day shone through in shades. As the night rolled in and our dream come true came to a close, Rowena & Jarred made their way down a glistening arch of sparklers, stopping for one last kiss before their exit, giving our dynamic photography team a perfect final shot to end a divine fairytale day.
Their Love Story
Rowena and Jared’s story began in Glasgow, where they first met in church, starting their lifelong adventure together. They got engaged by scenic docks in the Lake District, showcasing their love for luxury locations. This easy-going couple enjoys relaxed walks, lounging at home, and savoring fine food. Their classic romance allowed our wedding photographers to capture their deep, everlasting love with an air of luxury and old-fashioned class.
