From farmhouse beginnings to a country church marriage, wrapping up in a historic country house, Jess & Peter’s rural origins were always going to be imperative to their wedding photography and videography. With the lakeside scenery of Nunsmere Hall as our canvas, the Fire & Ice team were set to create scenic wedding photos to celebrate the day with a contemporary, modern twist on a classic country style.
THE NEWLYWEDS
Jess and Peter started their journey together as farmers, and their roots as a couple shine through their rural venue and aesthetic where rooted colours keep a rustic, natural image. In every shot, we kept their style in the eye of our videography and helped capture the wedding’s quaint and sylvian image. From their romantic fireside proposal to their farming life with their son today, simple country beauty has been at the heart of Jess and Peter’s journey, and our elegant cinematography of every unforgettable moment from their magical wedding day was no exception.
The only thing that could upstage the newlyweds would be their dapper son, who took a liking to Christian… and his camera! Jess & Peter’s little boy made for a sparky, joyous addition to every shot he found himself in.
THE CEREMONY
A traditional wedding called for a traditional venue, and St Mary’s Church in Great Budworth would prove itself as not just the perfect choice for such a classical atmosphere, but also an engaging and elegant stage for our team to curate and craft some of our trademark expert videography and photography. With the pews as our guidelines, the stained glass as our backdrop, and the classy couple as our beautiful focus, from first glance to first kiss, vows to rings to signings, Fire & Ice caught every detail from every angle and immortalised them. Down cobbled streets did the happy couple amble, and our team were moments behind with poised and pointed lenses, catching every newlywed kiss, every step towards the rest of their lives, and casting it in perfect fashion to keep alive the celebration’s rugged country charm.
THE RECEPTION
For the reception, poised in the retreats of rural Cheshire, Nunsmere Hall stands as a timeless British venue for a celebration as charming as Jess & Peter’s, and made for an incredible location for the modern, memorable photography Fire & Ice prides itself on. Nestled in Delamere Forest, the venue as a backdrop made every shot of our wedding videography feel as memorable as it did cinematic, with our state-of-the-art equipment capturing the house like something from a fairytale. A titanic partner for the venue’s classical elegance was its neighbour, the 60-acre lake of the same name that rests itself as an unforgettable backdrop for timeless wedding photography.
TEAM & KIT
Packed and ready, Chris, Josh, Els and Martin travelled from Cardiff to Cheshire the night before the wedding. Packed to the roof with state-of-the-art kit like the DJI Avata drone, Sony A9ii and A7Sii, along with cinematic tools like EG smoke bombs, reflectors and Sony lenses, we were armed and ready!
