Join us on the carousel for a thrill ride of sparkling, filthy, explosive cabaret… For one night only, The Barker Velour Wedding! Check out their burlesque wedding photography and films below.
Roll up, roll up, and feast your eyes – this burlesque themed wedding was an extravaganza to behold, and a real wonder for the Fire & Ice team to photograph! Exciting performers gave Fire & Ice’s award-winning wedding photographers and videographers a carnival of opportunities for dynamic shots, from the bride and bridal party’s burlesque dance routines to fire-breathing marvels! We’re glad we didn’t forget our ticket for this one… Watch Kitty & Adam’s Highlight Film below!
From the most performative of meetings, with Adam filming Kitty as a performer, this bohemian travel-loving couple promised to be an exciting capture for the Fire & Ice team. After Adam’s scenic proposal in a Greek Winery, showmanship was destined to be at the heart of this glamorous couple’s wedding photography and cinematography, and with cabaret still running deep through their lives, Fire & Ice meticulously planned the wedding film and photo style, lighting, colours, music and camera angles to be as spirited and enchanting as the newlyweds themselves.
Adam & Kitty had a photo engagement session with us a few months before their big day, and we crafted a big, bold studio shoot where we could get creative with lighting, colours and burlesque poses that best reflected their dramatic personalities and fiery love story. Combining EG TP40 Smoke Bombs with the coloured gels on Rotolight AEOS 2 Pro lights, we achieved a playful yet daring shoot, infused with theatrical flair and vintage charm.

White Syke Fields is a distinct, independent wedding venue, encouraging creativity, quirkiness and big ideas. It was perfect for Adam & Kitty’s burlesque wedding photography! This rustic wedding venue started hosting weddings in 2018, the converted barn offering an abundance of space for a wedding reception. Adam & Kitty turned the barn into a stage for their impressive line up of cabaret performers, and an incredible party to finish the night. Adam and Kitty made their arrival to White Syke Fields in a hot pink Cadillac, showered with a rainbow of confetti – with two cameras on the ground and a drone flying overhead, this made for an epic sequence in their films.
Their first dance was far from conventional; Adam & Kitty wowed the crowd with a burlesque act together beneath the spotlight. Our 4 camera setup captured every detail, from the impressive pole dance manoeuvres to the wedding guests’ roaring applause. Outfits coordinated in a full rainbow of colours made for a spectrum of bright and quirky frames, captured in Fire & Ice’s signature style of bespoke wedding photography and cinematography.
We’re over the moon to have seen Adam & Kitty’s wedding published in Rock n Roll Bride Magazine‘s Issue 53, themed around Maximalism.
“A maximalist wedding is the antithesis to the cool-girl Pinterest aesthetic. [It] doesn’t try to be something it’s not. A maximalist wedding says, “hey, we love these things, let’s show them off!” A maximalist bride is confident and unashamedly themselves – just like the message behind Rock n Roll Bride magazine!”

For a no holds barred wedding like this, the Fire & Ice videography and photography teams knew they’d have to go all out; with Christian and Els leading the photography with the assistance of Jay, the Sony A9ii and Sony A7Riii cameras with 35mm and 105mm lenses were essential for capturing every colour and pose of the glamorous newlyweds and their band of performers.
For Josh at the helm of our wedding cinematography and Jack by his side, the Sony A7Siii was the only choice to capture the energetic and flamboyant vibe of the day, along with the DJI Inspire 2 drone to get the full scale of what would be a vibrant wedding like no other. All this kit needed only the best effects, and using EG TP40 Smoke Bombs for outrageous clouds of colour, along with Rotolight AEOS 2 Pro’s advanced built in colour gels, every frame was set to be as fantastical as the show itself.
